Pumps

Water pumps are usually used in systems that have traditional central heating with twin water circuits and ‘Y’ valves, here they pump two circuits controlled by the ‘Y’ valve, one for the radiator system and one for the hot water, by indirectly heating water in a storage cylinder. Sutton Gas Tech, can replace your water pumps, ‘Y’ valves and other central heating components when they fail in your system.

The pump is traditionally external to the boiler unit, and provides the circulation force required to move the heat source water through the radiators and the water cylinder induction coil. Although traditional twin circuit ‘Y’ plan systems are in decline compared to Combi boilers there can be times when a traditional tanked system is preferred. Some installations have very low mains water pressure, in these situations there may be inadequate driving force for satisfactory water delivery, by using a tank and pump delivery system we can provide the client with higher delivery pressures and greater flow rates. Embedding the pump in the boiler allows for a more compact installation and is used in Combi boilers, however this pump usually used for the central heating circuit, the domestic hot water is usually driven by mains pressure. Sutton Gas Tech can supply and install tanked systems to run a primary pump providing increased pressure to baths, showers and other water using devices.
